The futuristic electric vehicles are performance marvels and cachet that focus on delivering long-range. The luxury electric vehicle segment is expanding in full swing with better options, while rivals are coming into the market with compelling tech and features. 

2023 Model X offers three different models with the standard dual-motor engine, 670 horsepower, and 269 miles EPA with excellent driving range. The performance-oriented Plaid model delivers 1020 horsepower and goes up to 33 miles between charges.

What’s New in 2023 Tesla Model X?

Tesla added a tech-advanced new key card for the 2023 Model X; people can get a style car-shaped fob. It has a standard steering wheel and an optional $700 retrofit for current owners. Tesla added a newly introduced standard range model at an affordable price and 269-mile driving range. 

Electric Motor and Performance

The base model 2023 Model X comes standard with two electric motors- front and rear axle enabling the all-wheel-drive. Tesla claims model x claims 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds while with three motors, plaid high performance boasts 1020 hp and covers 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. It offers a respectable handling with strong acceleration by its electric motors.

Model X has a larger battery pack with a 269-mile driving range, while the Long Range model has a battery covering 348 miles of driving per charge. The charging of your Tesla is relatively fast with Tesla’s superchargers located across the country. Also, they can charge the vehicle at home via 240V or 120 V connections.

The all-electric SUVs boast the highest miles per charge ratings from EPA, such as 107 mpg in the city, 97 on the highway, and 102 mpg combined. The plaid model offers faster acceleration, where you outperform the rivals.

Futuristic Design & Interior

The interior speaks to the standard design and innovation of Tesla. The driver end offers a digital gauge display with a unique yoke-style steering controller, which is quite challenging. It comes with a unique Model X windshield glass roof that runs seamlessly from the base hood up and over the front seat passenger to witness an uninterrupted view of above and ahead.


The Model X cabin leaves us wanting more as the interior is tech-inspired and looks futuristic without making a hole in your pocket. It has non-descript air vents, misaligned panels, and flat-backed seats that don’t offer adjustments.

Infotainment System

The 2023 Tesla Model X has a massive touchscreen infotainment system that dominates the dashboard and controls various features and settings. The secondary digital cluster is in front of the driver as a gauge cluster. It has a Tesla infotainment system that is advanced and loaded with high-end features without Apple Car Play or Android Auto capability. The rear-seat riders can enjoy their music or videos and also have the option to control some of the car’s features.

Safety Features

The high-end tech features more than luxury, while Model X can be optioned with features like Autopilot. The Tesla hands-free driving model uses cameras, multiple sensors, and radars to detect objects, people, and other vehicles. Model X comes with summon features allowing users to park or retrieve the SUV from cramped spaces. It has some standard key safety features such as automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving mode.
