300,000+ Jeep SUVs Recalled Separately in United States

Jeep has been seeing some significant recalls in 2023, which showcases the brand’s latest mishappening, which involves nameplates with contrasting futures. The Jeep Compass compact SUV hasn’t had a considerable memory since 2020.

The first recall involves the sizeable population of instrument panel lighting. The second lighting commonly involves Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer. Jeep Compass has affected vehicles, including nearly 182,000 model year 2022-23.

The primary issue starts from the brightness level of the instrument panel cluster, which might need to be adjusted due to the incorrect software. The dim display might not showcase critical safety information such as a speedometer or warning lights, increasing the crash risk.

The Grand Cherokees, Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer affected SUVs, including 162,700 model years 2021-23 and 2022-24 Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneers. It has central vision park assist module software that may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in Reverse, decreasing the driver’s visibility of the rear and increasing the risk of getting injured or crashing.

The dealers can update the software to resolve the issue in both cases. The Jeep parent automaker Stellantis has begun notifying owners, but those with further questions contact their customer service team.
