Consider the latest Lamborghini Revuelto as a synthesis of several decades' worth of design elements. It combines the hips of a Diablo with the big-nosed Murcielago. The wedge form and scissor doors are Countach-inspired. Although the Revuelto has many references to the past, it is a plug-in hybrid, unlike any bull before it. For a total output of 1001 horsepower, the mid-mounted V-12 is assisted by three electric motors, one fitted to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox in the rear and two on the front axle. Lamborghini claims that further electrification will only improve the supercar experience, which may make some purists weep.
