2024 Audi A7 Review and Specs
MSRP Range: $71,200 - $79,750
2024 Audi A7 Overview
Beneath the Audi A7's sophisticated exterior and high-end technology sits a well-built mid-size car. Its massive hexagonal front conceals a 335-hp turbocharged V-6 that rips over the road. Both the Audi Quattro all-wheel-drive system and the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox are standard. The 444-hp S7 performance variant is more powerful than the A7, but even so, the A7 still delivers impressive scoot. The A7's hatchback design enhances its elegant appearance while facilitating simpler cargo stowing by eschewing the limitations of a standard trunk lid. Even the pickiest of passengers will find the A7 to be a good option thanks to its commendable build quality at every seam and stitch. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz E-class adds a touch more luxurious ambiance.
What Is 2024 Bringing?
Audi updates the A7's appearance in 2024. With new wheels, altered front and rear bumper covers, and a modified S-line interior package, the changes are merely cosmetic. This year also brings new color possibilities as Madeira Brown Metallic and Arcona White. Additionally, Audi has updated the interior wood inlay styles with Ash Volcanic Gray Natural and Olive Tree Natural. Audi's 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which powers its virtual cockpit, is now standard.
Cost and Selection of Items for Purchase
Depending on the specifications and extras, the 2024 Audi A7 might cost anywhere from $72,295 to $80,845 in pricing.
Performance, Engine, and Transmission
A turbocharged V-6 engine with 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque powers the A7 standard. An Audi Quattro all-wheel drive system receives its power via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. To reduce turbo lag and facilitate stop/start operation, the 48-volt hybrid-assist system is also a part of the A7's standard V-6 powertrain. We were pleased with the Audi's seamless agility when driving it daily. Its advanced all-wheel-drive technology offered superior traction in both dry and rainy circumstances. Both relaxing and vigorous throttle inputs were intelligently handled by the automatic gearbox. On the A7, Audi deftly combines quickness and elegance. When we were driving, its responsiveness and smooth ride qualities were instantly apparent. Even with the optional 21-inch wheels on our test vehicle, the anticipated thuds from severe Impacts were hardly noticeable. Its suspension also did a good job of restricting movement of the body. Although the steering reaction was smooth and had adjustable heaviness in various driving settings, it never made a loud noise when the front wheels were engaged. The two A7 versions that we evaluated had remarkable stopping power, with 163 feet and 157 feet for emergency braking distances.
Cargo, Comfort, and Interior
Exquisite materials and robust switchgear emphasize the flawless fit and finish of the A7's cabin. A panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, three-zone temperature control, and more are features found in every cabin. It's inconvenient that they can only be operated via the touchscreens, though. Together with its great outward visibility, the A7 offers a comfortable driving posture. There are optional heated seats, power outlets for charging gadgets, and temperature controls for rear-seat passengers. Although three full-size frames would be crammed into the rear seat, two adults could fit there with ease. The A7's handy power-operated liftback allows us to accommodate seven carry-on bags behind its rear seat that can be folded down. Along with the seats, the automobile could accommodate 20 bags of luggage.
Connectivity and Entertainment
A stunning entertainment system with two touchscreens that blends in perfectly with the center console and dashboard is standard on every A7. Although the haptic input is pleasing and the huge symbols are easy to find, the arrangement is irritating because it frequently requires the driver to take their eyes off the road. A mobile Wi-Fi hotspot and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity are included as standard features. Wireless smartphone charging and two powerful Bang & Olufsen premium sound systems are desirable choices.
