2024 Ferrari Roma Overview

The now-canceled GTC4Lusso T was Ferrari's first V-8 front-engine coupe, and the Roma is the company's second. It makes good use of an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission positioned at the back and a 612-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine. Up to its redline of 7500 rpm, the powerplant roars. The interface in the interior is almost entirely digital and accessible from the driver's seat. Though the Roma's rear seats are mostly for aesthetic purposes rather than practical usage, the inside seems surprisingly roomy. With its hundreds of prancing horses, this quarter-million-dollar Ferrari is sure to make you feel butterflies in your stomach.

Cost and Selection of Items for Purchase

The 2024 Ferrari Roma ranges in price from $243,358 to $277,970, depending on the trim and extras. It's primarily window shopping, but if we were fortunate enough to possess a Roma, we would keep the coupe and paint it in Verde British green, which is a historically accurate hue. We believe the deeper matte Grigio Corsa wheels, which come in six different wheel configurations, look well with paint that is also darker. With Rosso Ferrari leather trim, the interior color selections are almost endless and come in single-color and two-tone designs. With the obvious exception of Nero Black, which seems far too corporate, there truly isn't a bad option available.

Performance, Engine, and Transmission

Under the long hood of the Roma, a turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 engine at the middle of the vehicle produces 612 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. It is matched with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DCT) with eight speeds, which made its premiere on the even more unique Ferrari SF90 Stradale. Although we've had a chance to drive the Roma, we haven't had a chance to assess its performance on the racetrack. Nevertheless, our experience showed us that this Ferrari is enjoyable to drive around tight turns as well as to stroll about casually. Its magnificent noises come from its high-revving V-8, and the DCT responds fast to requests for rapid gear changes—particularly when you select Sport or Race on the driving mode dial.

Cargo, Comfort, and Interior

The inside of the Roma combines premium materials with an unusual design, all held together with leather and covered in faux suede. A sweeping dashboard that extends into the doors and floating center console encloses each passenger in the front seat. The massive 16-inch fully digital instrument cluster that the driver sees is controlled by haptic controls on the flat-bottomed, button-heavy steering wheel of the Roma. It's a 2+2 coupe with two back seats, and if the front seats are positioned correctly, the room can accommodate people in brief spurts. The Roma features a roomy middle portion, unlike most other Ferrari models, but don't anticipate a ton of internal cubby storage.

Connectivity and Entertainment

Even with its recognizable Prancing Horse insignia, the Roma is more of a stately tourer than a dedicated track star. It offers more entertainment and connection options to passengers as a consequence than some previous Ferrari models. This has an 8.4-inch touchscreen positioned vertically and a different screen for the front passenger.
