2024 Buick Envista Overview

The 2024 Buick Envista is a crossover SUV that is intended to rival the Volkswagen Taos, Mazda CX-30, and Chevrolet Trax. It has a six-speed automated transmission, a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, and a slicked-back appearance. The Envista has front-wheel drive and is designed for parking lots at malls. It has an 8.0-inch digital gauge display, automatic high-beam headlights, lane-keeping assistance, and an 11.0-inch touchscreen entertainment system, and its starting price is less than $25,000. The Envista is at the entry-level end of the Buick portfolio under the Encore GX and Envision SUVs. It was awarded the 2024 Editors' Choice award for its fastback curb appeal and excellent value quotient.

What Is 2024 Bringing?

This summer, the brand-new Buick Envista will go on sale as a car for the 2024 model year.

Cost and Selection of Items for Purchase

The 2024 Buick Envista ranges in price from $23,495 to $29,695, depending on the model and extras.

Performance, Engine, and Transmission

The 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that powers the Envistas has 136 horsepower. Since all-wheel drive is not an option, all models use an automated six-speed gearbox to power the front wheels. The Envista seems lively enough for easy driving, but when you press the accelerator hard to summon additional power for overtaking on a highway, it becomes more sluggish. On our test track, the Envista reached 60 mph in 9.3 seconds. The turbocharged three just runs out of gas after reaching 50 mph in a more respectable 6.7 seconds. However, the spirit of the Envista isn't about quick apexes or speed. Rather, it's designed to lope along silently and pleasantly.

Cargo, Comfort, and Interior

The Envista's cabin is spacious enough to accommodate four people, and the stylish coupe-style roofline doesn't significantly reduce the headroom in the backseat. Although the inside materials aren't precisely of premium quality, the Buick more than holds its own when compared to competitors like the Nissan Kicks and the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. In addition, it has a ton of appealing technological features and convenience features, such as a sizable glass panel on the dashboard that serves as both an infotainment touchscreen and a digital gauge display. An Audi, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz will never be able to compete with the luxurious interior and near-top class ambiance of the top-spec Avenir.

Connectivity and Entertainment

Two digital displays make up Envista's dashboard: an 8.0-inch screen for the SUV's instrument cluster and an additional 11.0-inch screen for the touchscreen infotainment system. Underneath a dash vent positioned in the middle, there is an additional panel for climate settings. The Envista has an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the most recent version of Buick's software.

Features for Safety and Driver Assistance

An extensive array of driver-assistance systems, such as automated emergency braking and automatic high-beam headlights, are standard on all Envista models. More sophisticated technology is an option.

  • Typical automatic braking in an emergency
  • Normal lane-departure alert with assistance for lane-keeping
  • Adaptive cruise control is available.

Coverage for Maintenance and Warranty

Buick's basic warranty package is comparable to many of the major competitors of the Envista, although it is not quite as extensive as the Hyundai Kona's, which offers significantly longer periods and three years of free regular maintenance.

  • A limited warranty is valid for 36 months or 36,000 miles.
  • A powertrain warranty is valid for 60,000 miles or five years.
  • For the initial visit, complimentary planned maintenance is provided.
